Jeremy Lent (Fireside Chat Speaker)
Jeremy Lent is an author, speaker, and leading thinker on ecological civilization whose work explores the cultural and philosophical roots of today’s environmental and social crises. He is the award-winning author of The Patterning Instinct, The Web of Meaning, and Ecocivilization: Making a World That Works for All. Founder of the Deep Transformation Network and president of the Institute for Ecological Civilization, Lent brings together insights from systems science, history, ecology, and traditional wisdom to envision a regenerative future where people and the living world can thrive together.
Jonathan Kay
Jonathan Kay is a Grammy-winning, Juno-nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer, and scholar known for blending contemplative musical traditions with experimental improvisation. Originally trained in jazz saxophone at Humber College, he later studied North Indian raga music in Kolkata and shakuhachi in Kyoto, developing a distinctive transcultural approach to composition and performance. During a decade in India, he studied with renowned gurus and pioneered the “shrutiphone,” a customized saxophone designed for raga performance. Jonathan has collaborated with leading artists across jazz and Indian classical music and co-leads several innovative ensembles, including Monsoon and The Coltrane Sutras. He earned a PhD in East-West Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies, where his research explored the intersections of music, philosophy, contemplative practice, and transcultural creativity.
Dr. John Robert Bagby
Dr. John Robert Bagby (Jack) is associate professor of Philosophy, Consciousness, and Cosmology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He received a BA in philosophy at Pennsylvania State University and Doctorate at Boston College. His research focuses on the history of philosophy from a phenomenological perspective, especially problems related to consciousness, nature, and aesthetics. He has published on ancient Greek philosophy, Henri Bergson, and Baruch Spinoza, and has strong research interests in 19th-20th century European philosophy (esp. process philosophy, transcendental philosophy, and French Spiritualism) and philosophy of music. He was an editor and contributor to the recent book Meter and Music in Ancient Greece. Jack is multi-instrumentalist, specializing in guitar and piano, and has been performing and composing music for close to two decades. His current projects focus on ancient Greek tunings, just intonation, and microtonality.
Garth Stevenson
Garth Stevenzon was raised on family excursions into the remote wilderness of British Columbia, double bassist Garth Stevenson approaches music as a conversation with nature. Often composing in the forest near his home in Western Massachusetts, he creates spatially immersive music through deep listening, inspired improvisation, and textural experimentation. His commitment to conservation has led him to play alongside pods of breaching whales in Antarctica and Baja, Mexico, while his original scores have accompanied feature films by director John Curran, as well as the biopic Bob Marley: One Love. As he continues to refine what it means to collaborate with the natural world, his albums have become companions for those at life’s thresholds: birth and death, meditation and grief, heartbreak and renewal.
Jess Magic
Jess Magic is a ceremonialist, soul-stirring songstress, and a minister of soulful living and embodied spirituality. She creates compelling invitations for people to interact with life from an open heart through the power, courage and vulnerability that come along with authentic, undefended love and expression. As a story-teller, facilitator and mistress of ceremony, Jess Magic has been guiding intimate immersions and audiences alike, using her voice and her “Heartistry” to empower a shift from “consumer” to “creator” culture by breaking down the barrier between the artist and the audience and giving people permission into raw, real participation and delicious presence. Her facilitation and music ministry has touched global audiences at the Women Economic Forum, United Nations, Mind Valley, COPP International Climate Summit, and Necker Island, and her ceremonies, Soul Salons and Gospel of Love experience have been crowd favorites for leadership summits, transformational festivals and cozy living rooms worldwide.
Daniel Walker
Daniel Walker is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, and community builder whose work explores the connective tissue between music, meaning, and human belonging. Blending folk, soul, blues, rock, and participatory song, he creates experiences that transform audiences from spectators into collaborators, inviting people into deeper presence, vulnerability, and shared expression. As the founder of www.moonjelly.studio - Daniel has spent over a decade producing concerts, immersive gatherings, films, livestreams, and community experiences that bridge art, technology, ecology, and culture. Whether leading a room in spontaneous harmony, crafting intimate ceremonies through song, or exploring the role of creativity in an increasingly intelligent world, his work is rooted in a simple conviction: that music remains one of humanity's oldest and most powerful technologies for remembering who we are — and who we can become together.
